Job Description
Figure out what the marketplace needs from a product. Could be a healthcare, financial or high tech product. Figure out what "job" the customer is hiring your product to do. For example... the Blackberry Smartphone was hired to help customers be productive during the spare moments in a day, e.g. as they sit on a commuter train going to work.

Started with an economics course in university. After university I tried documentary film editing for a year. Then I went west with a friend to make money on the Oil Rigs in Alberta. After travelling, I came home and studied computer science... got a job coding a computer tax prep program. Then switched to Manulife Financial for 12 years; took an MBA at night and changed to product management. Switched to technology product management... worked at MKS; BlackBerry; Sandvine and PointClickCare.
