Paramedics are essential front-line health care workers that respond to medical, traumatic, or behavioural/psychiatric 9-1-1 calls and provide treatment and transportation to hospital for further assessment and observation. To succeed, Paramedics need to think quickly, stay calm in stressful situations, and have extensive medical knowledge to handle a variety of emergencies.
