Career Story
My path has been quite an adventure:) I graduated from Cameron Heights (go Gaels!), went to University of Waterloo for Rhetoric and Professional Writing (coop program - which I highly recommend) and once I graduated I worked on a cruise ship for a stint. My first "career" job I worked at RIM/BlackBerry (7 years - various roles), Aeryon Labs (drone company now Teledyne) and then Dejero Labs. During Covid, working from home, I realized I wasn't doing something I was happy with. As a hearing aid wearer, it only dawned on me that working with other people with hearing needs would be an excellent fit. So, I quite my FT job, went to Conestoga College and completed their Hearing Instrument Specialist program. I graduated in April '23 and am completing my internship with Arnold Hearing Centres (Frederick Mall) and have not regretted the change.
