Job Description
My job is like being a detective, but instead of solving crimes, I investigate and analyze information about loans for businesses. This involves understanding the business that's asking for money, checking the finances, talking to other teams to discuss the risks involved in providing this business a loan.
In a nutshell, a Commercial Mortgage Analyst is like a financial detective who investigates businesses to decide if they should get a loan and how much. I help the bank make smart choices about who to lend money to!

Career Story
I attended the University of Waterloo for Science and Business. Throughout my 5 year degree, I had the opportunity of completing several internships at CIBC, a distinguished startup, and at the University of Waterloo itself. I graduated last year in October 2022. I was able to land a role in the Financial Services industry where I'm constantly being challenged and encouraged to grow!
