Job Description

I manage various stakeholders - partners, businesses - to make development projects happen. To build a building or a community requires a long process starting with land purchase, city/building approvals, design and construction then sales. I need to know a little bit about all of them to move this process along. I also hire, work with and supervise consultants, contractors.

Career Story

I took optional courses of interest to me in high school (including drafting) and competed in this area as well, even winning. Got an architecture degree with interesting and international co-op opportunities. Started working in the field, then moved to a related field (urban design), then moved away to run projects for a city that were not exactly building related but where my knowledge of construction and speaking different languages helped. Following their successful completion, I worked for a construction company learning how things are actually built day-to-day.

Now I take 20 years of this versatile experience to make communities happen from the start and work within a variety of fields. Never gets boring!
