Job Description

I was a professor of engineering and taught undergraduate and graduate students, conducted research in the areas of water resources and hydrology and supervised the research of graduate students who were pursuing postgraduate degrees. I was also involved in administrative tasks including holding the positions of Associate Chair, Graduate Studies and acting Department Chair.

Career Story

After I graduated from high school I completed an undergraduate degree in engineering during which I participated in the cooperative education program gaining 2 years of practical experience in my chosen field. Following my undergraduate degree I pursued a Masters degree and then a PhD. Upon completion of my PhD, I became a faculty member at the University of Manitoba, where I worked for 13 years and then moved to the University of Waterloo where I was a faculty member until my retirement. Following retirement, I have continued to conduct research collaborating with a researcher that I have been working with for many years.
