Job Description
My name is Daniela Montoya, and I am currently the Youth Engagement Coordinator at Volunteer Waterloo Region (VWR). VWR is a non-profit that provides leadership and support to over 130 community agencies including non-profits and charities. We also support and guide individuals that want to get involved in the community by promoting the value and importance of volunteerism in Waterloo Region and across Canada. My job involves working with and supporting the youth as they get connected and involved in their communities. My role also involves finding ways of making volunteering more accessible for the youth and other members of our community (including you!).
I previously worked as the communications coordinator where I managed social media platforms and responded to the inquiries of the volunteers and other organizations that we support. I also created ways of making volunteering more accessible to the community, for example assisting newcomers that are trying to learn English get involved in our community by helping them find volunteers opportunities.
